Ordering, payment and delivery
Can I buy directly on this site?
No. There is no cart and no checkout here. Every product button opens the same item at our retail partner, and the order, the payment and the delivery all happen there.
Who takes my payment?
The retail partner does, through their own checkout. We never see a card number, a billing address or an order total.
What does delivery cost?
Whatever the partner charges at the moment you check out. It depends on your address, the size of the parcel and any membership you hold with them. We do not set it and we do not publish a rate table, because ours would be wrong within a week.
Why is the price here different from the price there?
These pages are built at a moment in time. The partner moves prices whenever they want. Treat the number on this site as the last one we saw and the number at checkout as the real one.
Can you track my parcel?
No. Tracking lives in your account with the partner. We have no view into it.
Sizing and fit
Which size should I take?
Measure your bust, waist and hip, then read those numbers against the size chart on the partner listing. Charts differ between makers, so a size that fits one dress here may not fit another.
What if I am between two sizes?
In linen and cotton poplin, take the looser size, because those fabrics do not give. In rib knit and stretch jersey, take the closer size, because they stretch to the body and settle back.
How long is a midi on someone short?
A midi cut at 44 inches lands mid-calf at around five foot eight and closer to the ankle at five foot two. The journal piece on dress length walks through it properly.
Do these run small?
Many pieces in this range are cut generously through the shoulder and close through the waist. The rating text on the partner listing is the fastest way to see which way a specific item runs.
Fabric and care
How do I wash linen without wrecking it?
Cool water, gentle cycle, low spin, then dry flat or on a line. Skip fabric softener, which coats the fibre and takes away the dry hand that makes linen worth wearing.
Will a satin slip show my seams?
Bias-cut satin follows whatever is under it. A seamless or a rib knit base layer disappears under it; a structured bra with a wide band will read through.
Are the crochet cover-ups lined?
No. Open-knit and crochet cover-ups are made to sit over a swimsuit and they are not lined.
Do the matching sets stay the same colour?
Only if you wash the two halves together. Split them across separate loads and they drift apart over a season.
